When there is not enough vacuum in the main memory RAM, a hot disk is allocated to it on a hot disk, which is a swap file or virtual memory. The Master File Table (MFT) is a table that contains information about each file on the hot disk. These MFT files and pagefiles are marked in Windows as non-replaceable files on the hot disk.
When a file is stored on a hot disk, the operating system will store new files wherever they are found in the vacuum. This is called Fragments.
Increasing the number of these file parts can cause a slowdown in the system speed, or even loss of files. Hot disks can be avoided in such a way that they can be degraded over a period of time. Comes with Disk Defragmenter, utility windows for defragmenting hot disks.
When Deprecated, the parts of a file that are sparsely spaced are constantly swapped to form a contiguous layer. When performing a disgracement, you may have noticed that the Disk Map shows some areas of the green in the Disk Map.
The locations of files that cannot be swapped are shown in Windows. After the other parts are defragmented, these unmoveable files are scattered on the hot disk.
Since Pagebile / Swope files cannot be defragmented, they can be deleted and destroyed. However, they cannot be destroyed in the usual way. Use the following steps in Windows to clear them. Choose Control Panel System Advanced Tab Performance Settings Advanced tab Change. Under Virtual Memory, select No paging file and click Set. Then reboot the system and start the defragment operation.
After doing the degradement, go to Virtual Memory and select Custom Size and allocate the space on the Initial Size and Maximum Size on the same hot disk. Note that this size should be two to four times the main memory of the computer.
Another type of file that cannot be transferred into a hot disk is the file type MFT. The size of the MFT increases as the size of the files on the hot disk increases. This MFT file is broken into smaller parts when it reaches its peak.
You can increase the space allocated to the MFT file by doing a small change in the registry. Open the Registry Editor through Start → Run → regedit and double-click NtfsMftZoneReservation to enter HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Filesystem and enter a number from 2 to 4 on the right hand side. You can assign 25 percent by typing two, 37.5 percent by typing 3, and 50 percent by entering 4.
